Dubai - Mubasher:  Oliver Harnisch, CEO of Emaar Hospitality Group, has said that the group intends to double its hotel portfolio four times by 2021.

Harnisch explained that the Emaar Properties subsidiary  has 30 hotels under development in the UAE and across global markets such as Turkey, Egypt, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and the Maldives.

Those hotels are expected to be opened in the coming few years until 2020 and 2021, according to Al Khaleej newspaper.

The CEO noted that the group aims at expanding in 58 hotel markets across the world including other GCC states, the Maldives, Seychelles, China, and India.

Emaar Hospitality Group is also conducting a study to launch a new luxury hotel brand, Harnisch revealed, adding that the company was looking to expand its current brands.
